Try as They Might 439-446

With the plants being such an alien factor, Wolf suspected they might have the best success working together. "You might not want to hear this, but the best way to reach her is if we move in at the same time." Wolf explained they didn't know what the plants in front of them were capable of. "Anything to get to her." Rebecca was surprisingly on board with the plan, offering no objections when it came to rescuing her sister. "Alright, here's the plan then. I'll try to put it down from afar with a few rounds while you work on getting your sister free." Wolf's plan was rudimentary in nature, but Rebecca couldn't find any flaws with it. 

They set it into motion immediately, Wolf positioning herself in a precarious place near the mouth of one of the plants as Rebecca approached from her left. She placed a finger over her mouth as a signal to remain silent before counting down from three. Three. She raised her pistol to a familiar height. Two. With a slight breath, Wolf aimed down the sight as she had done so many times before. One. With the skill of a practiced soldier, she fired five shots centralized around the bud's stalk to avoid its main body. At the sound of the shots, Rebecca rushed forward and threw herself atop the injured bud. It offered minimal resistance as Rebecca was splattered with its yellow blood, holding it in place so it couldn't escape. It bled out moments later, a testament to Wolf's prowess. "We've got to her out!" Rebecca exclaimed as she wasted no time in pulling Kaila free. 

She had Kaila free before Wolf even reached them, somewhat touched by their sisterly bond. "Rebecca! Oh my god, I can't believe it's you.." Kaila cried as she embraced her younger sister in a gracious hug. They held one another in silence for several seconds before Kaila finally spoke up, "You saved me. I still can't believe it." Rebecca gave her sister a final squeeze before releasing her and saying, "I couldn't have done it without Wolf here. What in the hell happened to you? And your hair." She couldn't help but comment on the new hairstyle Kaila was sporting. "Well, about that-" Kaila's explanation was cut short by a piercing scream coming from other end of the maze. "That must be that other woman." Wolf remarked while look back. "Sorry to cut this short, but let's get back to that clearing. We can talk more there." Wolf recommended as she saw the plants near them begin to twitch...

The maid's legs kicked as she was suspended one of the mutant's mouths, slowly being devoured by a plant of all things. The mutant's hunger was not yet sated however, a new victim brought before it by its loyal bud servant. "Oh god! Please let me go!" The new buxom blonde before it begged in vain. It easily lifted her with its massive hand before shoving her into its main mouth, gnawing at her enormous chest with a twisted enjoyment. Tina had joined the maid in becoming nourishment for the bloated weed.

Wolf pursued the source of the scream with a keen interest. She'd left Kaila and Rebecca behind to search out the woman they'd forsaken before. Normally Wolf wouldn't concern herself with matters so conscientiously driven, but she was feeling particularly generous after witnessing the exchange between Rebecca and Kaila. There goes my image. Oh well, it's about time for a chance anyway. Wolf briefly lamented the detached soldier for hire reputation she'd worked so hard to cultivate, but it had been wearing thin the past few years.

She made it through the maze without any difficulty, following the screams until they ceased as suddenly as they started. Her search brought her to another clearing where she saw the source of the disturbance. She barely had time to process the situation, but Wolf knew she had to act quickly if she had any hope of rescuing either woman. Readying for the fight ahead, she made sure a round was chambered in her handgun before stepping closer, a look of grim determination washing over her.

A) Try to pull the maid free, Wolf can fire the last few rounds in her magazine before reloading to distract the mutant. She'll have to be careful to avoid its arms, but it should be too preoccupied with devouring the other woman to offer her much trouble. (64% chance of success, 50% chance of Wolf being devoured)

B) Attempt to pull the woman (Tina) free from the center mouth, Wolf can reach her before she's swallowed if she acts quickly enough. She can empty her magazine and fire as many rounds as she can to distract it, but such a frontal assault will be dangerous as Wolf will be at the forefront of the mutant's wrath. (49% chance of success, 70% chance of Wolf being devoured)

C) Make an effort to free both women, Wolf is skilled, but she'll be testing her limits by attempting such a thing. She will observe the mutant for a few moments to see how it will act before going after one of the two women. Wolf would truly be hero if she can accomplish this though. (25% chance of success, 90% chance of Wolf being devoured)

Those rolls were close before, but Wofl and Rebecca made it. This choice is pretty straightforward so hopefully the rolls are in your favor! If anybody is wondering, this is a FINAL chance for both the maid and Tina. No chasing after them if they get eaten this time.....

I've thought about it, and would y'all like to see an option to rescue both women? I can add it, but the chances might be pretty low. Just post if you'd like to see such a choice.
